"Morbid morticians"

Films: Mortuary (1983)

Alias: Hank Andrews, Paul Andrews, Mrs. Andrews

Type: Natural

Location: Haunted home/Civilized area

Height/Weight: That of average humans.

Affiliation: Neutral (Hank), Evil (the rest)

Summary: Most people would probably reconsider taking a job at the cemetery, considering that it involves practically becoming best friends with the dead. But someone's got to do it. Just not a screwed-up family like the Andrews.

History: Long ago, Mrs. Andrews seemingly committed suicide, leaving local mortician Hank Andrews alone with his son Paul. But the son actually faked his mom's death so that she wouldn't be sent to an asylum, and while his own mind slipped away, he pined for the daughter of his psychiatrist. After killing said doctor, he stalked her as an unseen killer, while a none-the-wiser Hank occupied himself trying to contact the dead.

Notable Kills: Nothing special.

Final Fate: Paul turns on and kills his father after the latter tries turning him in to the authorities. But then Paul's attempt at his love's life is botched embarrassingly when she kills him with an axe while sleepwalking. Mrs. Andrews springs to life soon afterward, but her fate is ambiguous.

Powers/Abilities: None

Weakness: Anything conventional.

Scariness Factor: 3.5-Really, the only one to fear here is Paul. An unhinged youth, his creepy longing for girls and taste for decorating the dead leave a bad taste in our mouths.

Trivia: -This was the final film with actor Christopher George.

-The first mortician to experiment with embalming was Dr. Thomas Holmes.
